Money Tree Program for Kids - 2008 Vision for Singapore

Money Tree Program for Kids

Money Tree Program for Kids is a Program in a Series of Boot Camps, specially designed for for Asian Kids, localised in Singapore context.

When most kids are busy attending extra Academic Camps to boost their Year-end results, we are telling you that equipping your child with them alone, is not sufficient.

Our Program originates from USA, but we have converted it to an interactive learning experience in a 2-day boot camps that enables the Children age 9 to 22 years to progressive learn the concepts of Financial Management from Personal Financial Management to Entrepreneurship.

Many parents have queried us, if we are taking a piece of the Childhood from the children if we are to impart these Financial Management skills and knowledge at this tender age.

Well, habits (good & bad ones) are formed during their childhood days.

A good example will be :
- Save first, spend only money that you have or set aside (spend within your means)

When given the right knowledge and tools, will help them build up a strong "guidance" system within them that help guide them through their lives.

Can the Children Understand All these Concepts?

Terms and Concepts like Inflation, Interest, Compound Interests, Value of Time & Money, Stock, Shares, Futures, Options & Mutual Funds, ROI, Biz Plan, and many others will be covered.

It's our Break-Through in our Teaching Methods that we are able to bring these concepts to Children from Age 10 to 22 years. They learnt these "complicated" terms & concept with great ease.

Our Road Map for our Students will lead them from Personal Development of Knowledge, Self Confidence, Interpersonal communication skills, Team work, Critical & Analytical Thinking, How the events happening in the world affects them (financially & economically), and Leading to Entrepreneurship & Starting their Own Business.

Our Series of Boot Camps :
* Junior Level 1 - Age 9 to 13 yrs
* Junior Level 2 - Age 9 to 13 yrs
* Apprentice Level 1 - Age 14 to 18 yrs
* Apprentice Level 2 - Age 14 to 18 yrs
* Entrepreneurship Level - Age 19 yrs & above

Money Tree Program - First Boot Camp in Singapore

Money tree boot campMoney Tree Program - First Boot Camp in Singapore (1st & 2nd September 2007 held in M Hotel Singapore)

My kids, Alfred & Grace Lee (standing next to Mr. Michael Reyes - Chief Training) of Money Tree's Boot Camp.
money tree program
They were simply thrilled that they are going to this boot camp, as they have heard so much of it from me.

There's a high level of excitement that they'll be there in this first ever boot camp in Singapore. That they get this chance to be there, especially it's quite close to their examination, especially Grace (12 yrs) is taking her PSLE in 1 month's time.

We were hesitating if we should let Grace go for this boot camp, or to send her for the next one. But the idea of they being the first batch to attend, and it is my hope that she would go through this experience, that could help her broaden her perspective in life, not just academically, but socially, financially and to achieve a new "height" or "level" at this stage of her life. So that she's able to be prepared to take on life challenges in a whole new way.
Money tree boot camp grace
Grace started slowly, not responding as readily as the rest of of the kids initially, but by the afternoon after the first day, I was told, that she was rushing to answer questions, in the hope of getting money each time a right answer were given.

Alfred (10 yrs) on the other hand is outgoing, active, but lacks confidence at times.
It is our wish that he'll pick up this life skills early in his life.

Alfred and Sher Mein are the two youngest in the group. But they're not about to lose out to the older kids. Especially when both of them are in the bidding war during the final event (secret - don't want to spoil your fun when you join in the program later.

Food is definitely good, but now they have to use the money that were given to them to pay for the food, and even the water throughout the 2 days boot camp.

Some were fined for being late for the start of any of the sessions.

And "world" news and events were announced throughout the sessions so that the kids will have to make good financial decision, what to do with their money.

Money tree boot camp alfred
So before anything else, the kids ensured that they were given the right amount of money before the session starts. Should they run out of these during the 2-days, they can use always use their very personalised "credit card".

The kids can also opt for the various instruments that are available to them for investing their money, or they can put it in the "bank" to earn interest.

What did our kids learn by the end of 2-days? A lot, I'm sure these things are only scrapped on the surface by parents, and most of us would always regards our kids too young to know about some things. Until before we know it, they have experienced it themselves.

Some kids are already went bankrupt by the age of 18 years old. And some have owe lots of money to banks and credit cards companies, for spending the money they have yet to earn.

The lure of this modern world and society is too great even for us adults, more so for our children. So that's why I gave them to come and experience and learn something the books would not be able to teach you.

You have to live in the real world, learn how to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills, to equip and protect yourself.

For those whose children who have attended later, and want our kids to stay connected, from here on, that they have a group of like-minded friends, who would be here to provide support to each other. Come join in a sub-forum, which I've specially created for them in my Internet Marketing Forum.

Money Tree Program - Boot camp for kids (age 9 to 13)

Money Tree Program - 2-days Boot Camp will be held in Singapore for the very first time on 1st & 2nd September 2007, at the M-Hotel Singapore.

My kids - Grace (12 yrs) & Alfred (10 yrs) will be attending this event, and they are simply excited, as we have prepared them to have a life-changing experience, that is different from other academic camps available from other experts in Singapore.

The kids are expected to learn concept like Inflation Rates, Savings, Interest Rates, why you should have 2 bank accounts instead of 1, why you actually "lose" when putting money in the bank when inflation rates are at all time high (when it is higher than the interest rates are lower than them).

The kids will have "Credit Cards" where they'll have to use it to spend and even buy their meals.

Some kids will go broke, some will learn how to manage their money, sitting through talks and answering questions correctly will earn them some money.

All-in-all, it's suppose to be a renewal experience your kids have never experienced in their lives (hopefully).

So as parents, we rather, they experienced the feeling of going broke, with no money to buy food, owing money to credit cards companies (the banks) in this simulated environment, rather than they face this harsh reality later on in life.

Instead of giving your child a try to Disneyland, give them an experience that they will forever thank you.

Interested to sign them in......send e-mail to : martin@mlnetbiz.com

Leave me your name & contact telephone numbers.....

Unable to make it for this round, nevermind, the next session will be in Nov/Dec 2007, do write in to inquire. 2 Preview sessions will be conducted per month. Write to me to confirm dates & time you wish to attend.

Thanks.
